After I started Zumba, I shunned the treadmills and elliptical machines. No matter how amazing my playlist was, music alone in my headphones could not give me the same rush like Zumba did. Seriously, by yourself on a hamster wheel OR a huge dance party? No brainer.
Once you’ve done an instructor’s class a few times, you will start booty shaking in your kitchen, the grocery line, when a routine you know comes on the radio,etc. Body memory is a wonderful thing.
When you show up to Zumba, you don’t have to think. Your body just starts moving, and before you know it, it’s cool down time. It’s amazing to show people how they’re body can actually move. I mean, did you think you were going to be an expert in Bachata before you left on Saturday? Girl, see you at the club.
The benefits of Zumba spread wider than calorie burning. I have gained incredible confidence, which has ultimately made me a better dancer and performer. Now I carry that huge grin whenever I’m dancing. See? Body memory!
