An introductory Lighting Design workshop for choreographers creating work in proscenium stage spaces.
Learn stage terms and equipment vocabulary, a breakdown of the creative process, how music theory influences design choices and a deep dive deconstruction of a design plot. The workshop will end with a Q&A with the instructor.
Dance makers at all stages of their career are invited to attend.
About the Instructor: Stephanie Howell (she/they) has been doing Light Design in the Greater Boston area for 23 years, working with companies such as OnStage Dance Company, Pantos Project Dance, Urbanity 2, Arrais Ballet, and Commonwealth Ballet Company.
