To Place in a Level 1 Dancers Must Demonstrate:

The Commercial Jazz audition will include a combination and freestyle.
To Place in a Level 1 Dancers Must Demonstrate:
- Ability to transition between levels
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate movement texture (i.e smooth vs sharp)
- Ability to execute isolations
- A consistent level of stamina
- Groundedness in freestyle and choreography
- Correct arm and hand positioning
- Ability to pick up choreography
- Engaging stage presence
To Place in a Level 2 Dancers Must Demonstrate:
- All of the above plus
- Ability to transition between levels quickly and execute floorwork (ex. Knee spins)
- Ability to isolate one body part at a time with appropriate texture/modulation
- A consistent level of stamina with control
- Ability to pick up choreography quickly
- Dynamic stage presence and characterization
To Place in a Level 3 Dancers Must Demonstrate:
- All of the above plus
- Ability to utilize hits and grooves seamlessly
- Ability to isolate one or more body parts at a time with appropriate texture/modulation
- Groundedness to demonstrate dynamic levels and movement originating from the core
- Exceptional stage presence and characterization
