Empower One Another

Produced by Gracie Baruzzi and Jennifer Kuhnberg, ”Empower One Another” provides a network of resources to company directors and dance artists, while promoting collaboration between artists and companies to create new, novel works surrounding the themes of empowerment.

“Empower One Another” will premiere on YouTube on Friday, July 23rd at 6pm and be available to view until Tuesday, July 27th at 11:30pm.

SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 2020: “FOR EMERGING ARTISTS”
This webinar will discuss important topics for emerging artists, such as how to design a mission statement, crafting a cohesive repertoire, networking, and producing your own production. This is designed for artists and companies with less than three years of experience in the dance community. ​
MONDAY, JULY 20, 2020 - “FUNDING AND FUNDRAISING”
This webinar will take a Q&A format to answer questions surrounding funding, fundraising, grant opportunities, and nonprofits. Guest panel to include Melissa DeFriesse of OnStage Dance Company and Karen Krolak and Nicole Harris of Monkeyhouse.

Meet the producers

Jennifer Kuhnberg is a choreographer, performer and dance educator. In addition to creating new work for OnStage, Jennifer choreographed the evening-length productions: What Is Love?, Selichot and Heartbeat: A Modern Dance Rock Concert, and had work featured in the Providence Movement Festival, Southern Vermont Dance Festival, NACHMO Boston & NYC Showcases, 12 Dancers Dancing, Dance For World Community, and OnStage | Repertory productions.
Jennifer is the Director of OnStage Dance Company and also produces several annual and seasonal dance festivals including: OnStage 360, OnStage Performance Series, OnStage Residency Program, and Empower One Another.
​Jennifer is on the faculty of Arlington Dance Place and Cheryl Sullivan's School of Dance.

Gracie Baruzzi began dancing at the age of 7 at “A Dance Studio” in Larchmont, New York. She went on to study Human Physiology and Dance at Boston University, where she trained in modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, and improvisation. She danced with Dance Theatre Group under the direction of Micki Taylor-Pinney for four years and choreographed for the company from 2009-2014. Gracie began choreographing and performing with her co-director Natalie as alumni choreographers for DTG in 2012. Together, they created Nozama Dance Collective in 2013. As an independent artist, Gracie is thrilled to produce the annual “Empower One Another” performance with Jennifer Kuhnberg. Outside of the dance community, Gracie is a Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital.
